Tissue salts (also known as cell salts) contain minute amounts of vital trace minerals the body needs. The key word being ‘trace’ as the body only needs tiny amounts of certain minerals. The body contains twelve vital tissue (mineral) salts. They are vital as; if the body has too little or too much of any one of these minerals it has a big effect on the overall health.
Tissue salts are sometimes referred to as Schuessler Tissue Salts. Dr. Willheim Heinrich Schuessler studied what is now called Biochemistry in the late nineteenth century and developed the twelve tissue salts in an easily assimilated form. His principles are still followed today.
Tissue salts are quickly absorbed, non-toxic, non-addictive, and gentle on the body.
